Cow blackboard

This nice and easy children’s craft can be useful for the children’s back to school. All you have to do is to glue a big cow’s head made out of salt pastry in a blackboard.

Materiales

• A wooden blackboard
• Salt pastry
• A tootsprick or wooden brochette
• A paintbrush
• White and black paint
• Glue
• A string
• A chalk
• Varnish

Paint the blackboard´s frame white. Then, paint black irregular spots.

Make a big ball of salt pastry and knead it. When it is soft squash it a bit, it would be the head. Repeat the operation with a smaller ball for the snout.

Make the eyes and the ears with salt pastry and glue them to the cow´s head. Glue the snout also.

Make a hole in the center of each eye with the toothsprick. Ask an adult to put the cow´s head in the oven and leave it to cook for the time established.

Wait until the cow´s head is cool and paint it. Give it a coat of varnish. Put a cord through the blackboard´s hole. Tie a knot in a extreme and a chalk in the other.
